Policies and Procedures
Welcome! I am looking forward to another year with all of you. Whether you are a new or returning student, please read these policies carefully as some things have changed. As always, please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
Tuition
Tuition is based on a graduated scale depending upon how long of a lesson you want and how often you want to take them. Bear in mind that the tuition payment reserves your lesson space for that month regardless of your attendance. Payment is due by the 1st lesson of each month. For every week that you are late with payment, a $10 fee will be added to the original tuition cost. Lessons may be paid either monthly or by the semester. Payment can be made either by check or by the Cash App. Cost break-down is as follows:
Lesson fees are as follows:
Monthly half-hour: $140 ($35 per lesson, this length only offered to students 13 and under)
Monthly hour: $240 ($60 per lesson)
Semester half-hour: $450 (20% discount, 15 weeks assumed)
Semester hour: $720 (20% discount, 15 weeks assumed)
Hour Coaching: $40
Two-Hour Coaching: $70
Make-up Lessons
If a lesson is canceled by the student, I cannot guarantee a make-up lesson for any circumstance. If I have an available spot, I will do my best to reschedule your lesson, especially in the case of "acts of God" (illness, family emergency, etc). Missed lessons with less than 24 hours notice will not be offered a make-up. Also, 24 hours’ notice must be given for any cancelation in order to avoid paying for the lesson. Phone calls/emails morning-of will not suffice and you will be charged for that lesson. If I have to cancel your lesson, I will reschedule it.
Sick Policy
If you are sick, do not come to lesson. As well as a teacher I am a performer and have a “day job,” and, therefore, cannot afford to get sick. Symptoms that require cancellation of lesson include, but are not limited to: uncontrollable coughing, sore throats, post-nasal drip, throwing up, etc. If you feel as though you are becoming sick 24 hours ahead of time, please let me know. If you call/email right before a lesson to let me know you will be absent due to illness you will still be charged for that lesson.
Accompanist
In the event that we have a studio recital, the accompanist fee will be split evenly among all participants. More info upon necessity.
Recitals
We may have the chance during the year to hold a recital in which all students will perform at least one song. If a recital is held participation will be mandatory. The date will be decided upon pending all students' schedules.
